This is a package file for the computer algebra system maxima named „Moonjump.mac“. Copy this file into the share directory of maxima root. After binding it with „load(Moonjump)“ type in „Jump();“. You will be asked for different physical quantities to type in. First the weight of a Person on Earth, then with complete equipment on the Moon. Acceleration distance is how deep you bend your knees in order to jump. On the Moon it may differ, perhaps it is shorter. Then you should make a proposal for the walking speed, 1 m/s for example is similar to 2.25 Miles per hour. Finally you have to type in zero level and Jumping height above it on Earth. A high jumper for example has his centre of gravity at 1 m and jumps more then 2 m high. Have a lot of fun !
